DJ Drosman, PhD is a licensed clinical psychologist with 13 years of experience working in the field of health and the healing arts. His version of therapy is holistic, drawing from both Western and Eastern approaches, and he enjoys helping people cultivate greater mindfulness and intentionality with their thoughts and behaviors. His soulful approach is both active and warm, and he genuinely connects with all of his patients; his presence and focus is felt immediately when talking to him. He has a passion for the work and for helping people become the best version they envision for themselves, encouraging people to work through the knots and stuck places they continue to find themselves in, and moving out of the patterns that they repeat.
After majoring in psychology during his undergraduate studies in Wisconsin, he moved to New York to pursue his passion of trying to understand human behavior. He was able to fulfill his interests in both research and clinical work by working at a research lab studying drug addiction and sexual behavior, and engaging in the more clinical side by working in a psychiatric inpatient unit helping people who were unable to manage their own lives. After he got his fill of New York, he moved to the Bay Area to become a psychologist. During his training, he worked in community clinics, residential day treatment facilities, adult day health centers, hospitals, and an elementary school.
