Gary is a passionate chiropractor, driven by his desire to help others achieve better health. Early in his career, Gary discovered that most musculoskeletal injuries are primarily caused by muscle weakness or instability and postural compensation, often a result of an under-active lifestyle. So it became Gary’s primary goal to look beyond the pain, and identify the underlying weakness, instability, or postural issues causing the pain in the first place. He is highly skilled at developing customized treatment plans specific to each individual’s goals, abilities, and tolerances while challenging their limits, and encouraging progressive improvement.
Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Gary graduated from Pitt with a degree in biology. He then gave up the cold winters and moved west to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic-West in San Jose, CA. Gary has learned and continues to develop skill in a wide variety of rehabilitative techniques, including Active Release Technique (ART), instrument-assisted soft tissue techniques, Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), and Rock Tape Fascial Movement Taping, and he is currently working on his Diplomate in Chiropractic Rehabilitation.
In addition to practicing at Crossover Health, Gary has built a successful private practice in South San Jose over the last decade. In that private practice, he has treated all types of patients, from professional soccer players, MMA athletes, and high profile musicians to adolescents and adults of all ages and activity levels. In his spare time, Gary takes full advantage of the beautiful California weather. He can often be found cycling, hiking, skiing, camping, backpacking, and enjoying the beach.
