DIVERSITY, INCLUSION & BELONGING

Connecting, Collaborating and Caring for All

We are bringing diversity to the forefront of our company culture.

We walk the talk.

We not only celebrate our diverse workforce at Crossover, but we also embrace inclusivity and belonging through representation and action in primary healthcare. Each year, employees across all teams have the opportunity to serve on the Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging team, called DIB. The DIB team curates speakers to help facilitate open BIPOC dialog, sponsors group challenges to share unique ethnic and LGBTQ+ experiences and provides scholarships and awards for employees who exemplify the core mission of DIB.

DIB in action

Leadership Series: Transgender Visibility Day 2022
On March 31, Helena Blakemore a disabled artist, activist, and trans woman, was invited to share her story and advocacy in a special event with Crossover employees. After Helena’s own transition in 2006, she has navigated through several barriers around accessing gender affirming healthcare. Her personal perspective educates all people on where trans people come from and how society can continue to grow allyship and representation for trans individuals.
Leadership Series: "Black Man in a White Coat"
DIB hosted a talk with NY Times bestselling Black author Damon Tweedy, MD and Crossover employees to share his personal story as a medical student and doctor.
REAL Challenge
The focus for the REAL (Rally for Equity, Allyship, and Leadership) Challenge is instructor-led, group activity based open conversations about the intersection of identities.

Crossover’s Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Crossover is committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We believe in the fundamental human right for people to pursue their dreams unimpeded by systemic bias.

Our people are the most valuable asset we have. A significant part of our culture, our brand, and our ability to to improve the health and well being of the customers we serve is the collective sum of the individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, innovation, self-expression, and unique capabilities of our employees.

We embrace and encourage our employees’ differences in abilities, age, color, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, language, national origin, physical and mental ability, political affiliation, race, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, veteran status, and other inherent characteristics that make our employees unique.

Crossover’s diversity initiatives are applicable—but not limited—to our practices and policies on recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; professional development and training; promotions; transfers; social and community programs; and the ongoing development of a work environment built on the premise of gender and diversity equity that encourages and enforces:

  • respectful communication and cooperation between all employees
  • teamwork and employee participation, permitting the representation of all groups and employee perspectives
  • employer and employee contributions to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for diversity.
