How It All Started
Crossover started with a tenacious emergency medicine physician contemplating how and why patients ended up in the ER. He teamed up with two visionaries to challenge the conventional thinking of the healthcare industry in 2010. They wanted to do better for patients and determine how changes in the structure of cost and equitable delivery of care could make a meaningful impact on the health of our nation.
Our founders began the relentless quest to rework healthcare from the bottom up to create a better answer for how to get access to fundamental care. To empower individuals with the belief that care should begin before they are sick. And, that good health allows us to live our best lives.
It had to be more than a buzzword, a bolt-on technology, or another app. It had to be a disruptive, entirely different model of care. In fact, it had to be built so that the patient did not have to navigate the healthcare system, but rather the healthcare system centered around the patient.
