Andrea Lopez-Yianilos is a clinical psychologist—licensed in New York and Florida—specializing in providing Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT). Andrea’s approach is collaborative, empathetic, genuine, and client-centered. She works with a wide range of clients including those struggling with sleep difficulties, trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and life transitions.
Andrea earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida, and her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed a predoctoral internship at the Miami VA Medical Center, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Columbia Psychiatry/New York State Psychiatric Institute. Andrea has worked in a variety of integrated primary care and hospital settings, and sees clients in her midtown Manhattan private practice. In addition, she supervises postdoctoral fellows and psychology interns at Columbia University’s PTSD Research and Treatment Program.
A South Florida native with a diverse background, Andrea values and appreciates traveling and embracing different cultures. In her free time, she enjoys her yoga practice, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the city.
