Tara Kantharaj, MD

Tara strongly believes in partnering with her patients to make decisions together rather than just telling them what to do. She enjoys talking to patients about what is really going on in their lives, in an effort to go above and beyond just providing excellent medical care—she wants to make people feel cared for and heard as well. She especially loves caring for multiple generations of the same family.

Tara earned her BA from Boston University College of Arts and Sciences, and her MD from Boston University School of Medicine, before completing her residency at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. She has done IMR: Integrative Medicine in Residency, which is training offered through the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. She is currently training through the Institute of Functional Medicine as well. The modalities she uses are Integrative medicine and Shamanic healing.

Originally from Cleveland, Tara speaks several languages including Kannada, Telugu, English, and some French. Her favorite way to stay healthy is to spend time with her dog, Gobi. In her free time, she loves art and beauty in almost any form, working on renovating her home, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys traveling, learning new things, and meeting new people.
